Co-Ed Team Wins Cinco de Mayo Soccer Tournament

The accolades for the Black Oaks Co-Ed team keep rolling in, this time with a Cinco de Mayo Tournament Win.  Thanks to Antonio Rosales who organized the tournament.  And, thanks to coach Luis Medina for the match report from Saturday:

Adult Coed Soccer; Cinco de Mayo Tournament. We had 5 players from our regular team, and the rest were friends from other teams. I believe we won the first game 5-0, we tied the Shockers 0-0 for the 2nd game. We won the last game 5-1. We had to play the Shockers a 2nd time for the Championship, and we won 1-0. Great goal by George. Next game 5/11 vs. RP Express at Galvin #1 @ 9am.

His Black Oaks Soccer Club teammates, who include a doctor at Kaiser Hospital, quickly went to his aid. Despite their efforts, Sokol died a short while later at Sutter Medical Center of an apparent heart-related ailment. Continue Reading at the Santa Rosa Press Democrat
